Hypothesis

IntelliJ-platform IDE users search the in-IDE Marketplace by tool/file-format name; a paid or freemium plugin giving first-class support for one format or tool that JetBrains IDEs handle poorly (while VS Code has a popular extension for it) gets found by that search alone (2026 small-vendor precedent: Jinja2 Enhanced Support 9.8k downloads in 9.5 months, LaTeX Pro 2.3k in 3 months, Jenkinsfile 161k in 22 months) and converts trials to licences at USD 3-10/month personal, more commercial. JetBrains is merchant of record (15%), pays out by bank in USD; one owner need (trader verification + bank details).

Stop rule

Kill at once if JetBrains refuses trader verification or payouts to Israel, or rejects QMD Studio as paid/freemium after one fix pass. Owner wait: an owner step not done 14 days after it was raised (15 Nov) -> pause. Signal = Marketplace downloads + paid licences, clock starts the day the listing is live: under 50 downloads in the first 14 days listed -> one listing revision; under 150 downloads 30 days listed, or 0 paid licences (trials excluded) 45 days after approval (30-day trial + 15) -> kill.
